Boshā Helps A Young Entrepreneur Gain Altitude

Feature Story

The WBENC Connection

Boshā has been certified as a Women-Owned Business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) since 2001. Through WBENC, many businesses gain access to opportunities and connections they might not have otherwise — their support truly makes a difference.

“One of the programs that exemplifies WBENC’s support for young women business owners is the Collegiate Accelerator Program, in which I have the privilege of serving as a mentor,” Barb says. “I met Valeria through the program and helped her practice her pitch to the program’s leadership team. Later, we had the chance to meet in person during this year’s WBENC National Conference in New Orleans.”

“When we were walking through the conference expo together, it seemed like everyone knew Barb and wanted to talk with her,” Valeria recalls. “She’s highly respected — and awesome!”

The Thryft Ship logo as re-envisioned by Boshā uses dynamic shapes, expressive lines, and an accent color to convey creativity, ease of shipping, and readiness for what’s next. The new tagline communicates Thryft Ship’s mission to simplify and speed how clients do business.

What Comes Next?

Valeria looks forward to making life easier for many more online merchants and accelerating Thryft Ship’s growth — her goal is for her company to be 20-times bigger than it is today.

“Businesses who join us grow an average of 16 percent in the first three months,” she says. “By empowering online business owners with an expanding product offering that helps them operate more efficiently, ThryftShip will grow, too.”

Barb will do what she has always done — provide Boshā clients with outstanding strategies, content, and design, while also helping Valeria and other women entrepreneurs take their companies to the next level.

“It’s a joy for all of us at Boshā to help Valeria succeed,” Barb says. “We love working with her.”

Barb Bosha is passionate about helping women of all ages succeed as business owners.

But having an opportunity to mentor Valeria Brenner, an entrepreneur who is 15 years younger than the company Barb founded and runs, is particularly gratifying for her.

Valeria, 24, founded Thryft Ship to power the next era of social commerce — doing for sellers in DMs what Shopify did for online stores. “We’re building the infrastructure that helps small businesses sell, ship, and scale directly where their customers already are,” she says. “From payments to fulfillment, Thryft Ship is transforming how modern entrepreneurs grow their brands and sales.”

Barb and Valeria met in person for the first time at WBENC’s 2025 National Conference.

A New Logo and Tagline

During the conference, Valeria gave Barb a tour of the Thryft Ship website and Barb offered several suggestions for quick improvements that Valeria soon implemented. The Boshā  team subsequently refreshed the Thryft Ship logo and developed a new tagline to accompany it.

“I designed our original logo at 2 in the morning when I was 19,” Valeria says.  “The Boshā team did a wonderful job capturing and communicating our helpful ThryftShip spirit with a new logo and tagline that build on the originals.”

“We designed the new logo using dynamic shapes, expressive lines, and an accent color to convey creativity, ease of shipping, and readiness for what’s next,” Barb says. “The tagline ‘From DMs to Doorsteps’ communicates the speed and simplicity Thryft Ship’s services provide its clients.”

“I want to help them because so many women have helped me,” she says. “It feels wonderful to be able to give back this way.”
